These arrests were part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal activities, including online gambling and fraud, which have been prevalent in these regions.

As of today, February 19, the total number of foreign nationals arrested for illegal entry into Myanmar within a 21-day period has reached 1,553. The detained individuals are being investigated, and their personal details are being compiled for swift repatriation to their respective countries.

The authorities continue to emphasize their commitment to law enforcement and proper legal procedures while working to ensure the security and safety of the nation’s borders.
