The Shan State Progressive Party/Shan State Army (SSPP/SSA) has provided over three million kyats worth of food and drinks to the refugees who have arrived in Yaksawk Township, Shan State (South).

It is reported that SSPP/SSA visited the war refugees at the monastery in Ward 1 of Intaw Village and provided food products worth more than three million kyats on February 10 as they were having difficulty with food due to the clashes between the security forces and the Danu People's Liberation Front (DPLF) in the Kyaukgu area of Yaksawk Township.

The SSPP/SSA provided 30 bags of rice, 120 bottles of cooking oil and two large bags of salt for 104 men and 168 women, totaling 272 people, who were local residents fleeing the war.

According to SSPP/SSA's statement, since the clashes between the security forces and the Danu People's Liberation Front (DPLF) are still taking place frequently in the Kyaukgu area of Yaksawk Township, the local residents who fled the war have not been able to return to their homes.
