The exchange rate of the US dollar in Myanmar's foreign currency market has experienced a steady decline, dropping below 5,000 kyats. By September 30, the dollar was valued at around 4,750 kyats, a decrease of 850 kyats over the month. On September 26, the rate was approximately 5,000 kyats, followed by 4,900 kyats on September 27, 4,820 kyats on September 28, and 4,750 kyats on September 29 and 30.
Earlier in September, the dollar had fluctuated significantly. On September 1, it was valued at 5,600 kyats, rising to 5,650 kyats by September 2, and reaching 5,700 kyats on September 4 before gradually declining. By September 25, the rate had dropped to 5,070 kyats.
In August, the dollar reached a peak of around 7,200 kyats on August 13, but by August 14, it had started to fall. By the end of August 15, the exchange rate had dropped to 6,000-6,300 kyats, marking a decline of around 1,000 kyats in just three days.
