A female sub-inspector was shot while riding a motorcycle at the corner of 80th and 29th streets in Chanayethazan Township, Mandalay at around 5:00 pm on December 29, sources said.

The victim who was shot was a female sub-inspector from a police station in Chanayethazan Township, who was shot on her way back to the station.

She was shot near the No.8 police station and was hit in the neck and is still receiving medical treatment.
