A fire broke out at a basic education high school in Ingapu Township, Ayeyawady Region, at about 2 am today.

According to the Fire Services Department, the school is located between northern Cherry Street and Kangaw Street in Ward No.1, Ingapu Township. Fire engines and other firefighting-related vehicles from the first stations from Ingapu Township and Hinthada District as well as other towns such as Talottaw, Dambi, Pandawgyi, Mezaligon, Kwinkauk, Htoogyi and Nyaungkyo rushed to the scene and put out the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown, and an investigation has been launched, the department announced.
