MON-----A trishaw driver living on 19th Street in Thirimyaing Ward in Mawlamyaing Township of Mon State committed suicide by hanging yesterday night, according to nearby residents.

“He is 48 years old and they are needy family. He left five family members. During this period, trishaw driver or whoever ordinary people faces difficulties of living, cloth and shelters. We don’t know about the cause of his death. But, they are poor family,” said one of the neighbouring residents.

Mawlamyaing Emergency Social Welfare and Rescue Team sent the body to the Mawlamyaing People’s Hospital.

Similarly, a man living in Zaygyo Ward in Mawlamyaing Township, Mon State, committed suicide by hanging on August 24th. Moreover, two men from Thahtone and Thanbyuzayet Townships in Mon State had attempted suicide by hangings separately on August 22nd and 23rd.
