On April 24 afternoon a container trailer lost control and toppled over at locally known Kwalikway on Yangon-Mawlamyine road at Yinngyeintaung village, Paung township, Mon State.

The container trailer, driver by Tint Naing, with a cargo of raw rubber, was coming from Mawlamyine and going to Yangon. Between mileposts 162/2 and 162/3 near Yinngyeintaung at locally known Kwalikway lost its speed control and toppled over. The driver and his helper were slightly injured, one local resident said.

That local resident said that as half of the road was still open efforts were being made for the smooth flow of traffic.

The local resident continued saying that as the bend at Kwalikway was in the shape of an S there were chances of container cars travelling at high speed to topple over, and they should drive with caution.

On February 17 also, a trailer lost control of its speed and overturned at the same place and both the driver and his helper were injured.
