The security measures should not affect the freedom of the people who are not involved in terrorist activities, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Prime Minister of the Provisional Government.
He made the remarks at a meeting of the Security, Peace and Rule of Law Committee held at the office of the Chairman of the State Administration Council in Nay Pyi Taw on September 28.
At the meeting, the Senior General said that it was necessary to discuss business matters in a systematic and comprehensive manner and to discuss the situation suitable for the country. Prosperity is the key to peace and stability, rule of law, job opportunities and business ventures and it needs to be considered from all angles. In carrying out important matters, it is necessary to act mainly on the basis of laws and regulations. The local authorities need to systematically scrutinize the areas that need to be scrutinized according to the law. In order to meet the main needs of the region, it is necessary to consider whether there is a real need.
Our country is on the path of multi-party democracy and is acting in accordance with the Constitution. In dealing with the international community, it is important to adapt to the realities of our country and needs to be in line with existing laws. Rules, orders and directives need to be adapted to the current situation. There needs to be a simple management and governance system. Only then, a good governance system can be implemented for the development of the country, he said.
It was found that the coordination between ministries was weak. The capacity would be enhanced only by learning the rules and regulations by those who are carrying out the work, he said.
All of them need to be willing to work in their job. All work needs to be done quickly and that all parties need to think from all sides as they can gain trust from above and develop good governance by getting things done faster, he added.
Although some EAOs are involved in terrorist activities, most EAOs are not accepted those activities. In these matters, we are trying our best not to affect the peace process. The security measures should not affect the freedom of the people who are not involved in terrorist activities, he said.
