MUSE- A staff who came to fix Mytel Telecom tower near Nant Hwe village,  Maingyu 105 mile village tract, Muse Township, stepped on the landmine and lost his feet on September 25 at 12:00 am.

“Company staff of about five or six men came with light trucks. Aung Thu who is only 29 years old was wounded after stepping on a landmine. He is from Mandalay Thanpaddy. We sent him to Kutkai military hospital. Later, he will be sent to Lashio military hospital with Kutkai philanthropic association’s vehicle,” said Kyaw Than, chair of Parami philanthropic association.

Warnings have issued to monasteries and villages not to go near telecom towers in Muse Township. A local from Nant Hwe village told Eleven Media that these men are from Mytel Telecom Company. The wounded man was still conscious in spite of being injured  and losing his feet.
