A series of explosions occurred in front of ward administration offices in Sanchaung and Kyimyindine townships, Yangon Region, on the morning of August 15.
An explosion occurred before Thiri Khaymar ward administrator’s office between the Kohtetgyi Pagoda and Asia Royal Hospital at the corner of Khaymar Street and Baho Road in Sanchaung Township this early morning, destroying some parts of the fencing, said local residents.
“It happened in the early morning but no one was hurt. Some parts of the fence of the office were destroyed,” said a resident in Sanchaung Township.
After the explosion, security forces arrived and searched the nearby areas.
Moreover, explosions occurred before west Magyitantaung ward administrator’s office, near east Mayitantaung ward administrator’s office, and near south Thayettaw ward administrator’s office, Zaygalay ward administrator’s office and west Thardu ward administrator’s office in Kyimyindine Township in the early morning, local residents reported.
“A series of explosions occurred this morning near ward administration offices. I think they are about five places,” a resident in Kyimyindine Township commented.
Security forces arrived at the scenes and conducted checks there. Some vehicles carrying security forces were patrolling in the township tightening security.
