Myanmar has seen 383 more Covid-19 cases and seven more deaths, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported on the night of January 25.
A total of 17,924 swabs were tested from January 24 at 8:00 pm to January 25 at 8:00 pm, and 383 new cases were confirmed.
A total of 558 Covid-19 patients were also discharged from hospital on the same day, bringing the total number of people who recovered from the illness to 122,116.
Of the seven deaths, six had pre-existing chronic medical conditions. And there have so far been 3,069 deaths from Covid-19, the ministry reported.
Till January 25, there were a total of 2,286,871 samples tested, 137,957 confirmed cases, 122,116 recoveries and 3,069 deaths, the ministry announced.
For January 25 also, 410 of those in close contact with the Covid-19 patients in Yangon Region tested negative for Covid-19 but they have been put in home quarantine, the ministry said.
