In Southern Shan State, 651 persons were examined by RDT, and two persons were found to have been infected with coronavirus as of 17th January.
A total of 651 persons in Southern Shan State were tested between noon of 16th Jan. and 11AM of 17th Jan using RDT Test Kits, and two persons were found to have been infected with coronavirus. The two infected persons were from Kalaw and were hospitalized in Kalaw Public Hospital.
The total number of COVID-19 infected patients in Shan State as of 17th Jan. in the entire State the number of patients was 1100. At the moment 96 were being treated in hospitals. Those considered recovered were 1001. There were three deaths, as per information from the Department of Shan State Treatment and Public Health.
As of 18th Jan. six COVID-19 Confirmed Case patients were still being treated at the Shan State capital, Taunggyi Sai San Htun hospital, as disclosed by the Chief Medical Officer.
With regard to COVID-19 respiratory disease in Shan State the number of patients in the entire State as of 17th Jan. in the eastern, northern,and southern parts was 2240. Those found infected with the virus were106, and 29 deaths. 1530 had been discharged from hospital, and 575 patients were still being treated in hospitals, as disclosed by the Social Affairs Minister and Member of Shan State Government. In the aforesaid list there were 1134 COVID-19 infected patients with three deaths. 1025 had been discharged from hospital.
