Myanmar found 619 new COVID-19 confirmed patients on December 29 bringing the total number of patients to 123,153 and 19 more people died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of December 29.

Although the number of daily infections was about 1,000 average in previous days, it has declined to under 1,000 per day in recent days, according to an announcement from the MOHS.

A total of 18,098 samples were tested between 8 pm of December 28  and 8 pm of December 29 and found 619 confirmed patients, it said.

A total of 928 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people to 105,279. 11 out of 19 patients died on December 29 are the patients with underlying chronic medical conditions. Up to 2,637 patients have died from the virus, it said.

It said 1,777,243 samples were tested till December 29 and found 123,153 patients so far.
