Union Election Commission (UEC) member Myint Naing said that there were more than 70 percent of voters in the 2020 General Election and the election results will be announced within 5 to 7 days in a press brief held at the UEC office on November 11.
“The election result will be announced within a week. In the 2015 Election, it took 10 days to announce the election result. Now, we are doing our best and about 30 percent of election results are announced. We have announced 338 results and among them, NLD won majority votes,” said UEC member Myint Naing.
There were over 37 million eligible voters and an estimated 70 percent of the entire Myanmar’s population voted in the election. But, he added that UEC will announce the exact data. He continued by saying that polling stations in every township is making data on how much percent of people voted in the election, and percentage of winning by each party in the election.
