As per announcement made by the Ministry of Health and Sports on 24 August evening of the eleven patient, detected with COVID-19 virus, patient No.464 came to look for a friend in Kamaryut, had been in quarantine in Sittway and the total number of confirmed cases has reached 474.
With reference to patient No.464, MP Tin Win of Kamaryutt Township constituency 1, Yangon Region said , “ The patient came to a friend living in Kamaryut, but didn’t find the friend. It is not sure whether the address of friend is correct or not. The friend isn’t from Kamaryut. This is wrong information. The fact is the patient just came to look for friend’s house. She didn’t live here or got infected here. The patient had been under quarantine in Sittway and came to Kamaryut. She was said to be from Kamaryut just because of the Kamaryut address. She came to take a course. I have no details.”
According to the information given by the Ministry of Health, patient No.464, a woman of 23 years, living in Kamaryut township, had been in quarantine centre in Hlaing township. She hadn’t been in contact with any confirmed patients. She has had no record of going abroad.
According to the announcement made by the Ministry of Health in the evening of August 24, patient No.465, a woman aged 27, patient No.473, a man aged 57, living in Sittway township, and patient No.467, a 75 year old male, patient No.468, 1 26 year old girl and patient No.469, a 15-year old girl living in Buthidaung township and patient No.464 included, totaling 6 have had no contact with any confirmed patients and have no record of having gone abroad.
In addition, patient No.466, living in Paung Township, Mon State, has had no contact with any confirmed patient, but had been to Singapore.
Likewise patient No.470, a 23 year old male from Buthidaung township, Rakhine State, patient No.471, a 28-year old woman, patient No.472, a girl of 12 years, patient No.474, a woman of 27 years, all from Sittway township, have had contact with confirmed patients, but without any record of travel abroad.
At the moment, of the confirmed 474 patients, 341 have not been found with any virus after two consecutive tests. Of these, 335 have been discharged from hospital.
