16 more Covid-19 patients reported in Sittway, cases up to 435

Sixteen more Covid-19 patients have been reported in Sittway, Rakhine State, and all of them had contact with the former confirmed patients, according to the Facebook post of the Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 am today.

The 16 more patients had been in contact with Case-395, Case-396, Case-377, Case-378 and Case-379.

The National Health Laboratory (Yangon) tested 645 Covid-19 samples in the second batch for August 21 and 16 new cases were reported.

Till 8 am on August 22, the number of Covid-19 cases in Myanmar reached 435.

For the whole day of August 21, a total of 1,609 Covid-19 samples were tested—1,021 by the National Health Laboratory (Yangon), 256 by the Department of Medical Research, 112 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay), 184 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mawlamyine) and 36 by Sittway People’s Hospital.
