Four persons who have a travel history returning from India have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number to 240, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported at night news hour on June 6.
A total of 1,599 samples were tested in the first batch on June 6-- 1,138 by the National Health Laboratory (Yangon), 161 by the Department of Medical Research, 277 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay) and 23 by the Public Health Laboratory (Mawlamyine).
Then, four people returning from India tested positive for the coronavirus. They are two men and one woman from Pyinmana Township in Nay Pyi Taw and one woman from North Oakkalapa Township in Yangon Region.
As five patients (Case Nos. 42, 61, 91, 93 and 192) tested negative two times on that day, 156 have recovered and 136 have been discharged from hospital.
The ministry reported at 8 am today that 335 samples were tested in the second batch for June 6 but no one has tested positive.
So far, Myanmar has seen 240 Covid-19 confirmed cases, six deaths and 156 recoveries.
