No new cases of Covid-19 were found and 126 patients have been free from the virus, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported at 8 pm on May 27.

A total of 619 samples were tested in the first batch on May 27—375 by the National Health Laboratory (Yangon), 151 by the Department of Medical Research and 93 by No (1) Defence Services Hospital (1,000-bed). However, no new cases were found.

Two patients (Case-68 and Case-83) tested negative twice, so the number of patients who got free from the coronavirus has reached 126. Of them, 118 have been discharged from hospital.

The ministry also announced the testing of 724 samples in the second batch for May 27 and all were reported negative.
