Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Major General Myint Maw donated Ks500,000 and relief supplies for COVID-19 Volunteer Team (NCVT) and relief supplies for patients under investigation of the coronavirus at Pobbathiri Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw on March 30.

“As the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, he explained the purpose of donations. The state should have such social organizations. We should encourage those organizations as they are helping out of goodwill. That is why he said they are encouraging donations. Then, more donors will be coming. With more donations, charity organizations will survive. This is their ambition,” said NCVT vice-chairman Thein Win.

The commander said the military would help any time if it is asked. NCVT  presented hospital beds, blankets, mosquito nets, and other supplies. Since March 25, the team has been helping the hospital.

“We cannot lose health workers. We cannot see them hurt. They are really giving treatment. If something happens to them, they would be worried. Currently, they are being overwhelmed with mental strength and necessary items,” Thein Win said.
