3 places in Sagaing COVID-19 No.8 patient visited disinfected

Authorities on March 29 morning disinfected three places including Hsoon Oo Ponya Shin Pagoda in Sagaing hill the COVID-19 case No.8 patient visited. 

The Ministry of Health and Sports reported that the woman tour guide tested positive for COVID-19 on March 28. She and French tourists visited Hsoon Oo Ponya Shin Pagoda and silverware shop in Ywahtaung Ward on March 16. 

Families from the shop and a restaurant she went to are now in-home quarantine, the shops will have to be close till March 31. Moreover, the pagoda will be closed till March 31. 

“In Sagaing, the virus-infected woman visited three places. They are a silverware shop, a restaurant, and a pagoda. Movements in these places have been restricted and those who had close contact with her are in quarantine. The places were also disinfected,” said Dr Thawdar Htet, a staff officer from the Sagaing District Public Health Department. 

In Sagaing Township, there are 95 people in-home quarantine and nine in facility quarantine.
