MAI suspends all chartered flights to China

Myanmar Airways International (MAI) has temporarily suspended all chartered flights to ten towns in China except Yangon-Guangzhou direct flight and the airline provided options for the passengers of scheduled Guangzhou flights, announced the MAI.

The MAI announced it has canceled all chartered flights to Hangzhou, Hefei, Jinan, Jinijang, Linyi, Nanchang, Nanjing, Ningbo, Qingdao and Yantai in China from January 31 till they announce.

It said it will follow advice and announcements of health authorities from international to have safety for its passengers.

The passengers, who bought the tickets of Yangon-Guangzhou direct flight in advance, can change their reservation once without additional cost based on the available of seat.

Any passengers holding a valid MAI ticket to and from Guangzhou are given the following options: reservation change flight or refund. Any applicants, who want to change their reservation or have refund, are affected for all flights to and from Guangzhou till February 15, 2020, that was ticketed prior to January 26, 2020 and refund requests can be made by email - [email protected] and [email protected].

The MAI is operating regular flights to Bangkok, Singapore, Guangzhou, Gaya and Kolkata and charter flights to China, based in Yangon and Mandalay international airports.
