Yangon River sunset cruise trip is set to return commencing on December 25 according to Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneur Association.

The trial run was made on December 20 with the two-deck cruise ship. It will leave from the Health Jetty near Pansodan Jetty at 4:00 pm on every weekend. It will start from the route near the water of Botahtaung pagoda-Thanlyatsoon and the confluence three rivers near the Twantay River Mouth before returning to the Health Jetty through the water near Kyimyindine Strand Road and Bayintnaung Bridge.

Although the cruise ship’s capacity is 120 passengers, in accordance with the social distancing rule, only 30 passengers will be accepted for each trip. Commencing from the December 25 trip, the trip will be arranged from every weekend depending on the demand of passengers according to chair of Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneur Association Naung Naung Han.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, cruise trips along Yangon River have been planned to commence in order to revive the Myanmar tourism sector.
