An immigration officer was shot and killed in Mawweng Ward, Hpakant Township.

Security forces went to investigate according to a report of a man being shot and killed in Mawweng Ward, Hpakant Township, Kachin State at 2 pm on March 12 and found the body of U Myint Lwin, an immigration officer at the staff housing of the Immigration Department. He was reportedly killed by four gunmen riding on two motorcycles.

In the evening of March 4, a man was reportedly shot dead in Mawweng Ward. On March 4 at 5:45 pm, a man was shot and killed in Mawweng Ward, Hpakant Township. According to the news, officials went to investigate and Ko Aung Naing was walking alone and he was killed by two gunmen riding on a motorcycle in front of the 'Shwe Si Sein' tea shop.
