UEC approves the dissolution of the Mro Ethnic Party

The Union Election Commission (UEC) issued a statement on November 22 to cancel the registration of the Mro Ethnic Party, which submitted to be deregistered as a political party, and to dissolve the party.

The UEC approved the registration of the Mro Ethnic Party as a political party on May 5, 2023 with registration No.11. The party submitted the decision to cancel its registration as a political party on October 27 at the party's central executive meeting to the UEC, it said.

In connection with such a submission, the UEC issued a statement that in accordance with Article 19, Sub-section (a) of the Political Parties Registration Law, the Union Election Commission Management Committee meeting No. (33/2023) held on November 22 confirmed the cancellation of the party's registration as a political party.

Therefore, the UEC issued a statement that the Mro Ethnic Party, which was registered as a political party with the UEC, was canceled from being registered as a political party from November 22, 2023, and the party was dissolved.
