Myo Min Min, assistant director of Meiktila District Election Sub-commission, said: “Chapter (13) Election has sections 57 to 64. Section 65 says such offences are with the power of police. So, anyone can complain directly to the police. Such complaints can be filed before or during the election or within 15 days after the election. If our commission knew that someone came to vote two times, we would file a lawsuit against him. If we didn’t know and a party came to sue, we would have to accept it. That is if the case is true. If it is a false complaint, the person who lodged the complaint will face a penalty of three years in prison or a fine of not more than Ks300,000.”
