Two carrying drugs caught in Tachileik

Two men, who were being investigated for carrying five hundred thousand stimulant tablets in Tachileik, tried to escape but were overpowered and nabbed again.     

Acting on a tipoff, members of the police force headed by Tachileik township inspector, and under the supervision of Division Police inspector halted a motor vehicle driven by Kyanu @ Ya Khar coming Ponlo Road to Shwemya Thayar market lane, and a motor cycle driven by Zaw Min Htun. The motor cyclist tried to escape , but was overpowered and caught, as disclosed by the office of Tachleik Police Inspector.      

Tachileik township police chief, Nyi Nyi Htay, said that acting on tipoff, under the supervision of  Divisional Inspector if police and Tachileik police force intervened a motor vehicle, a Vigo, and a motorcycle and caught five hundred thousand stimulant pills worth five hundred million kyats. He further said that they were working in coordination with the directions of their superiors for the safety of the people.     

Upon searching the Vigo and the motorcycle, at the rear section of the car five hundred thousand stimulant pills packed in big plastic bags , with five hundred million kyats were found. The carriers of the stimulant pills,  Kyanu @ Yakhar and Zaw Min Htun were booked under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act.   

Within this year Tachileik police force and the area police force are trying to catch narcotics, and there have been six instances so far.
