Transformer installed for water supply underwent repairs in Pekon

LOIKAW-----Transformer installed for water supply in Pekon Township, southern Shan State already has been undergone repairs and resumed water distribution after it had been hit by a mine.

“Transformer installed for water supply was undergone repairs on August 17. On the following day, the transformer resumed water supply process. I think, we don’t get water about 15 days. We don’t want to do any explosions because the attacks got into trouble for the public,” said a woman from Pekon Township.  

An explosion occurred in the compound of water distribution plant situated on Pekon-Loikaw road on August 3rd.

Due to the blast, 100-KVA transformer, nine buds, Power Master, concrete platform of a transformer, cables, iron sheets and wooden fold of doors were damaged.
