In Bago Region, Shwegyin Township, a student from Takhuntaing Village who is set to take the 2025 university entrance examination (Grade 12) has been missing for about a week, and as of March 16, he has not been found, according to his family and community.

The missing student is Maung Kaung Khant Kyaw, an 18-year-old from Takhuntaing Village, Shwegyin Township. He is a Grade 12 student at Takhuntaing High School and is known to be a top-performing student.

Regarding the circumstances of Maung Kaung Khant Kyaw's disappearance, a relative said, "He went missing on March 11, around 12:30 PM. He said he was going out and would come back, but he never returned by the evening. We realized he was missing then. As of today, March 16, he still hasn't come back, and we haven't found him. We don't know exactly why or how he disappeared. When he left, he took his phone and motorcycle with him. He went missing on March 11, and we reported him missing at the police station on March 12. So far, there's been no news. He is a bright student who has always won first prizes every year. This year, he was supposed to receive an award on March 13 or 14, but he disappeared before that."

Maung Kaung Khant Kyaw is a Grade 12 student and is scheduled to take the university entrance exam on March 17. He is an outstanding student who has received awards for academic excellence and social contributions at the regional level. His father has passed away, and he lives with his mother. As the exam approaches, his disappearance has saddened the residents of Shwegyin Township, who are also worried about the safety of their own children. Friends and close acquaintances of Maung Kaung Khant Kyaw have posted on social media, appealing for his release if he has been taken by anyone, so that he can return in time to take the Grade 12 exam.
