The government will do its best to maintain sovereignty and territorial integrity, and restore territorial sovereignty in the border towns and small camps that have been lost, said Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun, spokesman for the State Administration Council (SAC).

"As the Prime Minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces said yesterday, we will do our best to ensure the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. There are places we have lost. These are just the towns in the border area. There are small military posts we lost control of. I would like to say that we will take action to regain control of the area," he said.

The SAC lost control of Chinshwehaw, Phaungsai and Kyu Kok in northern Shan State battles, said Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun.

Major General Zaw Min Tun said, "The fighting occurred in Ta Shwe Thang, Monekoe and Shweli Bridge in Namhkam. In these incidents, the military personnel fought bravely. Because we fought bravely, we did not lose any place."

MNDAA and TNLA mainly detonated the communication routes and bridges currently used by the public and dug ditches on roads, Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.

"At the Northeast Command, all the military personnel, family members of military personnel, policemen, militiamen, and border guards who are performing their national defense and security duties diligently are recognized by all the heads of state and the heads of the military. The entire public also recognizes and honors and gives donations," said Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun.

On October 27, 2023, forces of MNDAA, TNLA and AA attacked Chinshwehaw, Monekoe, Kutkai, Hsenwi and Lashio, and took the employees and civilians from a hotel owned by a former Kokang leader in Chinshwehaw. These groups are currently fighting in those areas giving the reason to suppress online gambling on the border between China and Myanmar, Major General Zaw Min Tun said on November 1.
