Student from Mandalay gets highest marks in 2022 university entrance examination

A total of 12 students got the highest marks in science subjects in the whole country, according to the results of the matriculation exam released today and the student with the highest marks in the whole country was a student from No. 16 Basic Education High School in Mandalay, sources said.

Ma Eaint Muu Khin, who studied at No. 16 Basic Education High School and took the 2021-2022 matriculation exam at No. 16 Basic Education High School in Chanayethazan Township, passed with honors in all subjects and got the highest score in the whole country with 558 points.

"In the 2021-2022 matriculation exam, 100 students sat the exam, and today, the results of today's list include four honors students in all subjects and three honors students in five subjects. This is the first time in the history of our school that we are proud of it. I want to congratulate this student. This is a source of strength for the school,” said Dr Than Htike Soe, Headmaster of No. 16 Basic Education High School.

The highest-scoring student in the country is a student who has been studying since Grade 1 at No. 16 Basic Education High School. This year, the pass rate of the school is 67 per cent, with 34 passed with distinctions.

In the 2021-2022 academic year, a total of 33,548 students from Mandalay Region took the matriculation examination and 16,747 students passed.
