
The South Korean Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar held the first ever "Korean Temple Food Cooking Class" on September 26.
In the exhibit that ran from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in conjunction with the Korean Buddhist Culture Project Group, traditional methods and their history of meals to be consumed by monks were shared online.
The head monk Yeo Gu from the Sorim (Shaolin) Temple in Seoul instructed on how to cook Fried Tofu, Bean Noodles and Coriander Pickle. According to the head monk, these dishes are no doubt great for boosting your immune system during the COVID-19 period as well as soothes and discipline your mind.
Before the event begun, the Sitagu Sayardaw and Union Minister for Religion & Culture Affairs Thura U Aung Ko as well as the South Korean Ambassador and South Korean Buddhist Monk gave their respective words of wisdom to the audience.
