South Korea is handed over 40 forecasting and warning systems and related equipments to provide assistance for weather forecast process in Myanmar by the cooperation of Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) and Korea Meteorological Administration from South Korea in a ceremony held at Nay Pyi Taw on December 11, sources said.

Thant Sin Maung, Union Minister for Transportation and Communications delivered an opening speech and South Korean ambassador for Myanmar and Jongseok KIM, Administrator of Korea Meteorological Administration also delivered speeches.

Kyaw Myo and Thar Oo, deputy ministers for transportation and communications, permanent secretaries from ministry of transportation and communications and ministry of natural resources and environmental conservation, department heads and embassy officials attended the ceremony.
