The Swebo Myoma Market in Shwebo, Sagaing Region, burned at around 2am this morning on May 15, burning down over 900 stalls ,according to Deputy Director-General U Aye Myint from Shwebo's fire department.
"We only knew some time past 2am. The fire was put out at 5am and out of a total of 1591 stalls, 909 stalls that were 8x8x15 in size are gone. The amount of damages are still being calculated. It is arson," said U Aye Myint.
The fire was stopped at around 5am with 17 fire engines and 11 more water tank vehicles.
