Shuangfei Garment Factory to invest in Hlaing Tharyar Industrial zone

Shuangfei Garment Factory will invest US $ 1.420 million for making underwear with (cut-make-pack) CMP system at the Hlaing Tharyar Industrial zone according to Yangon Region Investment Committee.

It was approved at the 20/2020 meeting of Yangon Region Investment Committee in accordance with the Myanmar Investment law and from that business; it can create 889 job opportunities.

During COVID-19 pandemic, the Yangon Region has been working hard to ensure investment from local and abroad. Yangon Region Investment Committee (YRIC) approved 6 investments from China and Twaiwan in the industrial sector. The businesses approved at the meeting are manufacturing of LED and lighting accessories, bags and garments. The total investment amounts from the approved investments are US$ 15.727 million and can create 3876 job opportunities.

In Yangon Region, local and foreign businesses with capital amounts of US $ 10.652 million and Ks.6000 million have approved and from these businesses, about 1828 workers can be employed. There are good prospects in agriculture, electric and industrial sectors.
