According to the monthly list of COVID-19 contagion in Shan State, there were over 300 infections in October and November, and in the first week of December, there have been 58, according to the Shan State Department of Treatment and Public Health on 7 December.
Till noon of 7 December, in 21 townships of 3 Districts in Southern Shan State, there have been 391 COVID-19 Positive confirmed patients. 146 were currently taking treatment in hospital. 236 were considered cured and with only one death. Since 11 April when CIVID-19 patients were first discovered in Southern Shan State, and with the Second Wave more and more patients were found.
Monthwise the number of persons infected till date was, 2 in April, 2 in June, 1 in August, 13 in September, 81 in October, 226 in November, and 58 in the first week of December, so that the rate of infection is gradually increasing.
On 7 Dec in Southern Shan State the number of infected patients discovered with the aid of Test Kits, 3 in Kalaw township, 1 in Theingone village in Ywarngan township, 2 in Pinlaung township, 2 in Ayethayar in Taungyi township, totaling 8 that were tested as per RDT system.
In order to prevent the contagion of COVID-19, those coming from distant places should report immediately. They should stay at home as much as possible, and refrain from going into crowds, to wear masks systematically, and wash hands.
