Samples of woman with high body temperature who fell to ground and died sent for Covid-19 tests

A 40-year-old woman with after high body temperature suddenly fell to the ground on the sidewalk near Kywesekan Bus Terminal in Mandalay city and died on the way to hospital on the night of July 6, and samples of the dead were sent for lab tests after she had been listed as a covid-19 suspect.

Receiving the information from the neighbourhood that the woman fell unconscious on the pavement by Yangon-Mandalay junction near the bus terminal, officials from the township administration and Anaw Mar Social Aid Organization went to the scene. She died on the way to Mandalay People’s Hospital. She was reported to be living in Singaing Township. As now is in the Covid-10 outbreak, no one could not assist her and only authorities could be informed about it.

“We don’t know the cause of the death yet. She has been listed as a Covid-10 suspect. Samples were sent for lab tests,” said Dr Khin Kyaw, deputy medical superintendent of Mandalay People’s Hospital.

Her samples were sent to the Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay) on July 7.
