The meeting between Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai was a private discussion, so they do not know the details of the discussion, said Major General Zaw Min Tun, leader of the information team of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Deputy Minister for Information on July 13.

Major General Zaw Min Tun said that the Thai Foreign Minister visited Myanmar on July 9 and met with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi as reported in international news.

“The meeting is a private discussion. It lasted almost an hour and a half. The two met freely. Since the meeting was free, the Foreign Minister of Thailand was able to freely discuss the points that he wanted to discuss. Since their meeting is private, we do not know the details of the discussions. According to what we have seen, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is in good health," he said.

The Thai Foreign Minister, who attended the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Indonesia, revealed on July 12 that he met with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on July 9, and confirmed it to international reporters.

In that meeting, the Thai Foreign Minister told reporters that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi encouraged discussions to end the crisis in Myanmar.
