The Information Team of State Administration Council (SAC) denied yesterday that the military helicopter Mi-35 crashed in Waingmaw Township, Myitkyina District, Kachin State.

The unidentified online media intentionally published fake news claiming that a Tatmadaw Mi-35 helicopter crashed near Warsardi Village of Waingmaw Township in Myitkyina District, Kachin State, on  December 17, according to the SAC Information Team.

However, an official from the respective military command confirmed that the information about the helicopter crash was false and intentionally delivered inaccurately.

Additionally, Tatmadaw(Air)’s jets and helicopters effectively perform their military duties harmoniously with Tatmadaw’s military columns on the ground.

The malicious news media is spreading misinformation and fake news regularly, intending to undermine the public’s trust in Tatmadaw.

Moreover, the information team found that the social media outlets are now spreading the fake news saying that the military jets daily carried out the bombing attacks on Htigyaing Township of Sagaing Region and used the chemical bombs. That’s why some youths who had participated in the revolution had been poisoning the military airstrikes.

The SAC information team replied that the military never use the chemical weapons during the battles. However, the Kachin Independence Army-KIA and People Defence Force-PDF published the fake news through some media outlets that there have been many dead of their colleagues.

As for the military, they will be carrying out the regional security tasks and operations for the Rule of Law joining hands with the public, according to the SAC.
