Rakhine State now has 22 COVID-19 deaths

With the death of one more COVID-19 confirmed at Kyaukphyu Public Hospital, the total number of COVID-19 patients that have died in Rakhine State has reached 22.     

The patient that died in Kyaukphyu hospital is a 23 years old man with underlying disease of Tuberculosis. He died of asphyxiation on 9 November.     

Dr Ye Lwin Maung of Kyaukphyu hospital said that the patient came from Yangon, and was put in quarantine. When tested he was found to have been infected with coronavirus, and was hospitalized. He had an underlying disease of TB, and was taking medication. As he had difficulty to breathe he was supplied with oxygen. When the oxygen dropped he was taken to the emergency ward. He died the previous morning.     

The patient that died was patient number 55628, and was hospitalized in Kyaukphyu hospital on 3rd Nov. for coronavirus infection.     

Till the morning of 9th November, there had been 10 COVID-19 confirmed patients in Kyaukphyu hospital. 341 had been discharged from hospital, and the remaining 10  were in good health. Up till 7th November, the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 was 21, but with the addition of one more the total number of dead has reached 22.
