Acting on tip-off, at about 2.30 PM of 10th Jan, the anti-drug force searched a pedestrian, 43 year old Ngyi Min Thu @ Aung Lay @ Ah San, a resident of Ayoegon ward, at the corner of Bangyardala road and 144th street. He was found to be carrying 2140 tablets in plastic bags and arrested.
The perpetrator of this crime was booked under the Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and further investigations are being made to look for any other links, as disclosed by the Drugs Eradication Squad.
