Seven polling station staff including an officer who had collected advance votes on October 30th have tested positive for COVID-19 on November 4th, according to the Pathein District People’s Hospital.
They went to a house in Hsin Thiri Street No.1 in Pathein Township on October 30th aiming to collect the advance vote. But, an old man in a house was identified by the coronavirus on October 31st.
All polling station staff had been put under Quarantine. Among them, seven polling station staff members had been infected by COVID-19, Dr Than Min Htut, Medical Superintendent from Pathein District Hospital posted on his Facebook.
Until November 5th, Ayeyawady Region saw 1,298 COVID-19 positive cases and one death so also 857 patients were recovered.
