One more person suffernig from H1N1 died in Ayeyawady Region and the number of total H1N1 death toll reached 109 till September 6, according to figures from the Ministry of Health and Sports.
Out of 442 patients with Influenza-like illness (ILI) from January to September 6, 118 patients were found to have A (H1N1), 21 A (H3N2) patients and 18 Influenza B patients. Out of 1,138 Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) patients, 432 patients were found to have A (H1N1), 33 A (H3N2) patients and 55 Influenza B patients.
“There were 672 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 1,576 suspects and 109 deaths across the country. There were 68 deaths in Yangon, 14 deaths in Ayeyawady, 10 deaths in Bago, four deaths each in Magway and Sagaing, three deaths in Mon, two deaths in Rakhine, one death each in Kachin, Mandalay, Shan (south) and Taninthayi,” said an official from the Central Infectious Diseases Control and Prevention Division at the Public Health Department.
According to the list provided by the ministry, there were 279 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 673 suspects and 68 deaths in Yangon, 59 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 122 suspects and 14 deaths in Ayeyawady, 13 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 27 suspects and four deaths in Sagaing, 13 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 25 suspects and three deaths in Mon, 45 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 102 suspects and ten deaths in Bago, 92 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 200 suspects in Nay Pyi Taw, 38 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 57 suspects and four deaths in Magway, 17 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 45 suspects and one death in Mandalay, 32 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 84 suspects and two deaths in Rakhine, six laboratory-confirmed patients out of 13 suspects in Shan (North), 12 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 17 suspects and one death in Shan (South), no laboratory-confirmed patient out of one suspect in Shan (East), 5 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 9 suspects and one death in Taninthayi, 36 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 104 suspects and one death in Kachin, two laboratory-confirmed patients out of five suspects in Chin and 11 laboratory-confirmed patients out of 80 suspects in Kayin, announced the ministry.
The numbers of H1N1 deaths in Yangon Region till September 6 are six in Hlaing Thayar, five each in South Dagon and Thingangyun, four each in Thanlyin, North Oakkalapa, Hmawbi and Thaketa, three each in Mingaladon and Yankin, two each in North Dagon, East Dagon, Mingalar Taungnyunt, Shwepyithar, Thongkwa, Sanchaung, Htantabin, Kungyangon and Kawhmu and one each in Dagon Seikkan, Hlegu, Mayangone, Kyimyintine, Hlaing, Twantay, Tamwe, Dawbon, Botahtaung, Ahlon, Taikkyi and Seikkyi Kanaungto.
