Myanmar’s Acting President Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sent birthday greetings today (September 17) to Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the occasion of his 75th birthday.
In his message, Min Aung Hlaing wished the Indian leader good health, success in his endeavors, and prosperity for all Indian citizens. He expressed hope that under Modi’s leadership, India would continue to become more peaceful, developed, and successful.
The Acting President praised Modi’s efforts since taking up national responsibilities, noting his contributions to India’s social and economic progress, and to making the country more united and globally recognized. He emphasized the deep-rooted ties between Myanmar and India, with historical relations spanning thousands of years, not only at the government level but also through strong people-to-people friendships.
The Senior General highlighted India’s compassion, understanding, and principled support during Myanmar’s political transitions and natural disaster relief efforts, calling these gestures invaluable expressions of true neighborly brotherhood.
He further wished Prime Minister Modi long life, good health, and continued success in serving India’s interests, along with peace, prosperity, and happiness for all Indian citizens.
The Acting President and Prime Minister Modi last met on August 31, 2025, in Tianjin, China, to discuss bilateral cooperation.
Prime Minister Modi, born on September 17, 1950, turned 75 today. His birthday celebration was held in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, at 10:30 a.m. local time, with greetings sent by leaders and organizations worldwide, including from Myanmar, the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, and others.
