Myanmar Sepaktakraw Team won its first gold medal at XIX Asian Games being held in China after beating Indonesia Team.

Myanmar Team advanced to the final game after competing in the semifinal matches on October 3. At the semifinal spot for the men’s team events, Myanmar beat Japan 2-1 while Indonesia thrashed the Philippines 2-1.

Myanmar Team won the first match with 21-9 points but lost the second match with 18-21 points, and the third match became decisive. In the third game, the Myanmar team played without mistakes and won by 21-15 points.

Myanmar now gets its first medal at the current XIX Asian Games.
