Myanmar sees 1,361 new cases, 33 more deaths

Myanmar now has 1,361 new cases of COVID-19 and 33 more deaths according to the statement made by the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on October 23 at 8:00 pm. 

From October 22 at 8:00 pm to October 23 at 8:00pm, a total of 13,699 samples were tested and found new cases of 1,361. 

Among the positive cases, 1,301 patients were discharged from the hospital and now the total number of people discharged from the hospital reached 22,454.

Among the 33 deaths, 26 had underlying chronic medical conditions. The total number of deaths is now 1,038. 

Myanmar has so far conducted 579,921 samples and found 42,365 positive patients while 22,454 people were recovered from the virus and discharged from the hospital with 1038 deaths. 

Myanmar has so far seen 42,365 COVID-19 cases with 1,038 deaths according to the Ministry of Health and Sports.

Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid antigen diagnostic test kits and there are people who lost their sense of smell and taste included, announced the MOHS.
