A total of 3,563 Covid-19 cases and six deaths were reported in Myanmar on February 22, according to the Ministry of Health.
From 8pm of February 21 to 8pm of February 22, 33,807 lab samples were tested and 3,563 cases were detected. Moreover, six patients died during the period, the ministry announced.
There were 572,127 Covid-19 cases and 19,344 deaths in the country from the start of the outbreak till 8pm of February 22.
On February 22 also, 1,458 patients were discharged from hospitals after their recovery.
The samples were tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, all regions and states.
