Myanmar reports 220 new Covid-19 cases

A total of 220 Covid-19 cases were detected after 11,236 lab samples had been tested during the past 24 hours from 8pm of January 24 to 8pm of January 25, the Ministry of Health announced.

Till 8pm of January 25 from the start of the outbreak, 6,294,296 Covid-19 tests were carried out, 534,383 cases confirmed and 19,310 patients died in Myanmar.

In the past 24 hours, 140 patients were discharged from hospitals bringing the total number of those discharged to 512,471.

The samples were tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.17 100-Bed Military Hospital in Sittwe, at private hospitals and labs and using Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and all regions and states.
