A total of 1,959 new cases were detected after 207,27 lab samples had been tested from 8pm of February 26 to 8pm of February 27, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health on the night of February 27.

Up till 8pm of February 27 from the start of the outbreak in Myanmar, 7,100,472 lab samples were tested and 586,198 cases reported.

As there were five more deaths during the 24-hour period, the total number of deaths has reached 19,365.

Moreover, 1,193 patients were discharged from hospitals during the period bringing the total number of those discharged to 533,395.
