A total of 123 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 were detected after 7,703 lab samples had been tested during the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health announced at 8pm of January 16.

Up till 8pm of January 16 since the start of the outbreak in Myanmar, a total of 6,203,992 lab samples were tested and 533,144 cases reported,

Moreover, one patient died during the past 24 hours bringing the death toll to 19,302.

On January 16 also, 117 patients were discharged from hospitals bringing the total number of those discharged to 511,211.
