Myanmar has seen 513 more Covid-19 cases and 14 more deaths, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported on the night of January 16.
A total of 22,755 samples were tested from January 14 at 8:00 pm to January 15 at 8:00 pm, and 513 new cases were confirmed.
A total of 510 patients were also discharged from hospital, bringing the total number of people who recovered from Covid-19 to 116,610.
Among the 14 deaths, 11 had pre-existing chronic medical conditions. And there have so far been 2,926 deaths from Covid-19, the ministry reported.
Till January 15, there were 2,097,322 samples tested, 133,378 confirmed cases, 116,610 recoveries and 2,926 deaths, the ministry announced.
For January 15 also, 203 people in close contact with the Covid-19 patients in Yangon Region have been put in home quarantine thought they tested negative for the virus, the ministry said.
